The Most Dangerous Person In The World

Updated: Jul 17, 2022

I have been going to the gym first thing in the morning. It's not an easy choice. Many mornings I don't want to go and would happily stay in my warm comfortable bed. It is often said the hardest part of going to the gym is putting your kit on. It's the mental challenge of knowing that you are going to make yourself hot, sweaty and tired. And how can we find time in our hectic lives? There are so many things competing for our attention. We can find a hundred ways to excuse ourselves from doing something we don't want to do But it also works the other way If we really really really wanted to do something, we would. We would find the time somehow. So here's the harsh truth,

It's not a time issue, it's a motivation issue We will always find time for things we really want to do, so what gets in our way?

I want to introduce you to Sid.

Sid is who will stop you doing the things you need to do. Sid will lie to you, cheat you into believing you are doing the right thing, and steal your ambitions, goals and personal growth. You see Sid stands for ‘Seemingly Irrelevant Decisions’. Those choices we make that we know are not really good for us.

Like when we are on a diet but another biscuit ‘can’t hurt, can it’? And because there is only 2 left in the packet you may as well eat those as well.

It is the decision we make and then choose not to think about, because we instinctively know it is wrong.

’I will go to the Gym tomorrow, I will have more time’

’Just one more drink can’t hurt’

Sid is so much more than an excuse, it is an excuse wrapped up in a belief that what you are doing can’t hurt, or can actually help.

Do you have Sid in your life? I know I do, I try to recognise the signs of his visits but don’t always see him coming.

Sid is a master of disguise. A fake, a fraud and a con-man.

Sid is poison for the mind

Beware of Sid, one of the most dangerous people on the planet.
